anyone else ever think this was strange?
by cptkirk inwhen you were in the borg looking at the yearbook, none of the middle-eastern countries were accounted for were they?
did it ever strike anyone as odd that the region of the world which this religion was born in, had no "preaching" work being carried out there?

Cantleave and Nugget are coming to visit me!
by Pams girl ini met the lovely mummatron 2 weeks ago and had a fab day x. tomorrow, cantleave and nugget are travelling down with their kids and stopping off to say hi for a few hours before continuing through wales!.
im making a huge lasagne, and have got the beers and vino in.......so excited!.
will be great putting faces to the name, and im glad that at long last, i seem to be able to step out of my little world and make friends.. have got my smurf hanging outside the door so they know my house............. feels like an early christmas present, happy days!

Another 1975 coming soon
by fade_away ini heard some analysts on the news recently saying that at the rate the us is falling and china rising, it is expected that china will be the super power within the next 30 or 40 years.
if that happens then i guess there will be another mass exodus of jws from the wt despite what new light they come up with.
but if the witlesses are right then that means god must intervene and the great tribulation and armageddon is coming in less than 30 or 40 years.

Sept.15th WT - Submit to the WT Society or Jehovah Will Not Know You
by flipper inthis was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.
of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.

My wish is now that numbers of those leaving the org are rising, and baptism numbers are falling, the latest WT will serve to make more individuals wake up and leave altogether. Maybe they will simply snap under the pressure of it all?.......
I remember when I was studying...they always used the quote...."...and yet they were not burdensome".....talking about Jesus sorry I cant remember the scripture.....but my point is the WTBTSs rules and regulations ARE burdensome and those in must be feeling the noose tighten around their necks.....

What wonderful People! Im so happy right now! Cantleave managed to get across the bridge despite his mask and hoodie!
A nice time was had by all, and I hope he can post the photo of us soon, I cant, as Im still getting to grips with indoor plumbing.
Fantastic Night, especially moshing in my kitchen to Rainbow, Led Zep, Dio, et al...........(THEY (JWs) made me get rid of all my decent CDs years ago)...havent heared this music in a long time................

NEW RUMOR: WT ALLOWS BIRTHDAYS
by J.R.R.Watchtower ini've just read at a spanish forum for ex-jw that the wt has cooked a new light article series about social celebrations, including birthdays and aniversaries.
according to a member of this forum 'in short' the wt will let witnesses to decide by 'their bible trained conscience' either they celebrate birthdays or not.
is this rumor based in some real facts or it's just bullshit?.

Ex Neurosurgical nurse, now happy being self-employed at floristry, candle making, and soap making....(I do the soaps free and send them to a charity for people with anxiety and panic like myself to help fund the cost of running the site).
First job was a labourer on a building site (sandblasting etc)...and worked as a barmaid in parents pub for years.
Have sold my artwork occasionally, and do murals for kids bedrooms. Also do life-size MDF cutouts of Star Wars/Doctor Who stuff and hand paint them. So yeah, Im a bit arty I guess.
